WEST HARTFORD, CT

FULL-TIME RETAIL OPERATIONS ANALYST

The Retail Operations Analyst at Lux Bond & Green is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the end users of the Adaptive system. The analyst works with the end users in the stores and corporate office to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations, reports, and training with the goal of improving productivity, communications, and efficiencies. The role of the Retail Operations Analyst is to define requirements, prioritize them, get feedback and approval on their implementation, and assess the results once the requirements are in place.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES::
Operations/Systems
    – Partner with the users in all business units (stores, accounting, operations, buying offices, marketing, etc.) to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with the users, management, and IT
    – Author and update internal documentation as procedures change. Ensure master documentation of procedures is always up to date on LBG Central.
    – Determine and develop user requirements to improve efficiencies and make recommendations to improve the system to become as user friendly as possible for the end users.
    – In conjunction with the COO, spearhead the upgrade of the Adaptive system in 2025.
    – Evaluate the utilization of the system on a continual basis ensuring there is uniformity in how processes are handled in each location. Deliver a monthly update status report to all appropriate parties regarding the progress with CRM, Care plan and AI initiatives
    Training/CRM
    – Train the staff on new initiatives and work with management for measurement tools with a strong focus on the implementation, training, and follow up on the utilization of the CRM system.
    – Management of Jewelers Mutual CarePlan sales, acting a liaison with JM account manager, JM ZING platform and LBG Sales Professionals. Oversee reporting and reconciliation of service contracts through Adaptive API with JM ZING platform. Provide coaching to sales staff, respond to store inquiries and concerns, and continually motivate staff to achieve their JMCP goals
    – Work with Marketing and the buying offices to identify processes and procedures for utilization of the CMS and CRM functions within Adaptive and Podium or newer technologies.
    – Regularly visit each location for training, coaching staff on utilization of the system, and to identify and make recommendations on hardware and platforms needed for the objectives of improving customer contact and relations
    –Exhibit empathy and patience when working with staff who do not have a strong comfort level with technology. Involve corporate for additional assistance in this regard.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong computer skills including mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint for presentations).
  • Possess and exhibit strong communication and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience in retail and knowledge of the jewelry/watch business is strongly preferred
  • Highly proficient technical writing capabilities
  • Capable of operating independently in an ever-changing environment and able to switch gears quickly.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to store locations on a regular basis.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.

    – Strong interpersonal skills and a team player able to work effectively with all levels of staff. Must be willing and capable of cross-training
    – Must be able to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    – Must possess very strong training skills with the patience and expertise to conduct both classroom and one-on-one training.
    – Ability to prioritize tasks and be flexible regarding hours/requirements during peak holiday periods.

Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, CT

Full-time Sales Professional

The primary responsibility of a Full-time Sales Professional is to provide outstanding customer service to all clients advising them on jewelry, watch, and gift selections. In addition, responsibilities include assisting with inventory control, store maintenance, and becoming proficient on all store systems. The Mohegan Sun store is open seven days a week, so this position requires rotating night and weekend shifts.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES::
    – Develop strong client relationships to meet and exceed monthly sales goals. Practice suggestive selling and offer all customers add-on items in order to drive multiple unit sales.
    – Embrace and apply Lux Bond & Green’s core values of Customer Service, Teamwork, Communication, Confidentiality, Respect, and Integrity in every interaction with clients, co-workers, and vendors.
    – Proactively find ways to enhance the customer experience by engaging customers in polite conversation to anticipate their needs and taking action with positive energy and enthusiasm.
    – Complete all sales and service documentation and related responsibilities including gift-wrapping, shipping, special orders, thank you notes, etc. in a timely and accurate manner.
    – Cultivate customer relationships with new and existing customers by providing exceptional customer service. Regularly outreach to potential customers through networking, community events, etc. to get customers into the store. Keep a client book and contact customers on a regular basis using e-mail, texts, event invitations, etc.
    – Embrace the use of multiple forms of technology including regular use of Podium to communicate with clients, obtain customer reviews, and accept payments.
    – Develop strong knowledge of all store products and services and use this knowledge to build sales.
    – Understand and properly execute all systems and procedures to ensure quick and efficient transactions including capturing customer data
    – Store Maintenance: keep merchandise displays fresh, exciting, properly stocked, and presented in an organized and attractive fashion. Ensure the store is outstanding in its appearance and cleanliness by assisting with daily cleaning of giftware and jewelry areas (e.g., no fingerprints on cases or merchandise), vacuuming, and overall housekeeping of the store (trash removal, dusting, etc.) as well as assisting with the upkeep and cleaning of bathrooms and lunchroom.
    –Security: ensure all security procedures are followed on a daily basis such as maintaining proper coverage on the sales floor, showing one piece of merchandise at a time, locking all cases and being constantly aware of activity in the store
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in the luxury jewelry and watch market is required
  • Graduate Gemologist credentials are strongly preferred
  • Proven track record in achieving sales results.
  • Ability to quickly build trust and rapport with clients and co-workers
  • Ability to prospect and develop strong customer relationships.
  • Proficiency with Point of Sales (POS) systems and Microsoft Outlook/email.
  • This position requires standing most of the day and good manual dexterity to work with and show small pieces of jewelry.
