AVAILABLE POSITIONS:

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING ASSISTANT/GRAPHIC DESIGNER – WEST HARTFORD
We are currently seeking a full-time Social Media Marketing Assistant/Graphic Designer for our corporate marketing department. This position is responsible for the design and development of marketing materials including print ads, e-blasts, social media, content creation, store signage, etc. as well as handling co-op. Collaborating with internal and external partners. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES: 

  • Content creation for all social media and digital advertising (photo and video) which includes Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. 
  • Graphic design/asset creation (mainly using Adobe Creative Suite) to support brands, stores, and management. 
  • Generate copy across all social platforms mentioned above as well as copy for newspapers, magazines, programs, brochures, billboards, digital, signage, duratrans, store forms, store signage, postcards, direct mail pieces, flyers, brochures, e-blasts, and catalogs. 
  • Research and implement trending hashtags, trends, accounts, and direct shopping through social channels. 
  • Responsible for company branding goals by driving social media traffic from followers and increases in engagement, followers, and revenues through social media marketing campaigns. 
  • Shoot and edit fun, on trend social media marketing content creating and preparation for all social media platforms. 
  • Organic follower acquisition and engagement increases on Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok and other mainstream social media platforms. 
  • Prepare monthly social media marketing reports to management to indicate completed tasks, followers, engagement and traffic, trends and demands. 
  • Collaboration with brands, external agencies daily. 
  • Assist with maintenance of Lux Bond & Green's website for all advertising. Work with our photographers, vendors, IT Manager, Jewelry and the Giftware Buying Departments to coordinate information and merchandise images to prepare them to be web-ready. 
  • Maintain an organized record of all art created for vendor accounts and coordinate reconciliation of all coop monies. 
  • Send co-op advertising materials (tear sheets, invoices, etc.) to vendors such as Rolex, Mikimoto and David Yurman, etc. for reimbursement of co-op monies and follow up on collection. Enter data into an excel format for organizational purposes and reference. Coordinate and work with the accounts receivable department. 
  • Maintain all design imaging on the LBG website and updating any information concerning events, featured items, homepages, landing pages, all advertisements, e-blasts, catalogs, "IN THE MEDIA", updating any information pages and putting new images on the web. 
  • Communicate regularly with store managers, buyers, upper management, and store employees to inform all concerned about advertising media, store signage, etc. Coordinate letterhead, thank you notes, business cards, etc.  
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Adobe Creative Suite: 2 years (Required)
  • Social Media content & execution: 2 years (Required)
  • Highly proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite, Word, Excel, and Acrobat, Mail Chimp and Sprout Social software programs. Knowledge of CMS & HTML is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated skills and experience, including a portfolio, with graphic design. 
  • Creative and excellent communication skills with a strong sense of ownership and an appreciation for learning. 
  • Positive attitude in all regards and the ability to accept constructive feedback. 
  • Strong creative, analytical, and organizational skills. 
  • An eye for design and experience designing and producing print ads, publications, e-blasts, and internet home pages preferably for luxury brands. 
  • Computer literacy in Adobe Creative Suite, Word, Excel, and Acrobat, MailChimp, Sprout Social, database management, and page layout. Experience creating videos and content for social media. 
  • Strong oral and written communications, business acumen, and grammatical skills. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred.

PART-TIME CUSTODIAL/SHIPPING POSITION – WEST HARTFORD, CT
We are looking for a responsible custodial and maintenance candidate to maintain and protect our store and assist with shipping as needed. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian, or janitor, to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises, as well as preventing vandalism. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in custodial maintenance jobs. The ideal candidate will also assist with shipping & receiving at times and act as greeter on Saturdays to welcome customers to the store.

Work Hours: Schedule is from 8:30 am – 1:00 pm on Mon/Tues/Thurs/Friday and 10:00 – 5:15 on Saturdays for a total of approximately 24 – 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
  • Sweep and mop floors, if needed, and vacuum carpets
  • Maintenance of the kitchen/lunchroom including cleaning each morning, unloading the dishwasher, refilling supplies like paper towels, soda machine, etc.
  • Wipe mirrors and windows
  • Maintain outer premises by watering plants, cleaning entrances
  • Perform maintenance and minor repairs (replacing broken switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks etc.)
  • Report major damages and oversee repairs working with Facilities Manager
  • Undertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks (shoveling snow from the sidewalk, lifting heavy items, moving chairs etc.)
  • Store Safety & Security: On Saturdays, work at the front door to open the door and greet customers, ask them to remove masks, and keep an eye on the general environment in the store
  • Shipping: Prepare merchandise and select correct packaging materials for an item's secure and cost-effective shipment via FedEx/UPS/Post office. Provide tracking numbers to the requesting salesperson.
Skills
  • Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
  • Familiarity with basic handyman practices
  • Attention to detail and conscientiousness
  • Very good physical condition and strength
  • High school diploma is required

REPAIR/SERVICE COORDINATOR – WELLESLEY, MA

JOB SUMMARY: The non-exempt Service Department Supervisor is an integral part of the team in the Wellesley store.  This position involves a great deal of customer contact and requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail when taking in and tracking jewelry and watch repairs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

    • Working directly with customers at the service counter to process incoming jewelry, watches, and other repair items.  
    • Assisting customers with the pick-up and sale of repair goods. Quality control finished jobs and contact customers when jobs are completed.  
    • Advising customers on all incoming jewelry and watch repairs providing close attention to condition issues, item descriptions, etc.
    • Processing transactions through the repair computer module
    • Handling minor on-site repairs such as watch sizing and battery replacement
    • Accurately ordering supplies, processing invoices, and acting as a liaison with vendors, local repairs shops, and the West Hartford Service department to track all repairs
    • Communicating with customers via phone, Podium, text, and email to field incoming inquiries and keep them advised of their repair status
    • Cross-training to assist customers with fine jewelry sales as needed.
    • Any other duties assigned by supervisors

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong computer skills including mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proficiency with typing and keyboard use is important when processing customer transactions.
    • Outstanding customer service skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Exceptional phone and communication etiquette including the use of in-house texting and email programs
    • Dedicated team player able to work effectively with internal and external customers.
    • Good manual dexterity capable of working with small repairs
    • Prior experience in the jewelry/watch industry is strongly preferred
