CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES:

Full and Part time Sales Professionals – Mohegan Sun

We are currently seeking experienced full-time or part-time sales professionals for our store located at the Shops at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT. Experience working in a luxury sales environment catering to high-end clientele is strongly preferred.

The primary responsibility of a sales position at Lux Bond & Green is to provide outstanding customer service to all clients advising them on jewelry, watch, and gift selections. In addition, responsibilities include assisting with inventory control, store maintenance, and becoming proficient on all store systems. Duties include:

- Exhibit a passion for luxury jewelry and watches as well as superior selling skills

- Build warm and friendly customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service

- Develop a strong book of business for repeat jewelry and watch customers

- Demonstrate knowledge of store products and services and use this knowledge to build sales

- Practice suggestive selling and offer all customers add-on items to drive multiple unit sales

- Understand and properly execute all systems and procedures to ensure quick and efficient transactions

- Maintain merchandise presentation standards and ensure merchandise is replenished on the selling floor


Qualifications and Skills

These positions involve a great deal of customer contact in-person as well as via phone and e-mail. The ideal candidates must have proven expertise in customer correspondence, have excellent communication skills, and be computer literate. Prior experience in a luxury sales environment and knowledge of high-end watches is strongly preferred but not required. Experience working in a casino environment is preferred. As part of a high-end luxury shopping destination within the Mohegan Sun casino, our store is open 365 days per year and store hours vary but nights and weekends are required.

 

Gemologist Appraiser/Sales Professional

We are seeking an experienced Gemologist Appraiser/Sales Professional for our flagship store located at 46 LaSalle Road in West Hartford, Connecticut.

The Gemologist Appraiser/Sales Professional’s responsibilities include all types of appraisals (insurance, estate, and documents of purchase), fine jewelry and watch sales, diamond grading, and overall gemological support for sales and service staff. The Appraiser must be able to communicate comfortably and professionally with a high degree of expertise. Graduate Gemologist credentials are required. Duties include:

Appraisal Process - Work in West Hartford and other LBG locations (on an as-needed basis) to take in, review and perform various types of appraisals such as insurance, estate, documents of purchase, insurance replacement, damage report, validation, and offers to buy from customers and estates. Ensure appraisals are accurate, professionally written and are completed in a timely manner. Work with clients and store managers for customers interested in selling their jewelry. Report all private purchases to WH police department. Travel to other store locations as scheduled and as needed.

Sales & Customer Service – Develop strong client relationships to meet and exceed monthly sales goals. Handle all aspects of selling fine jewelry & watches in a professional, highly productive manner embracing and applying Lux Bond & Green’s core values of Customer Service, Teamwork, Communication, Confidentiality, Respect, and Integrity in every interaction. Complete all sales and service documentation and related responsibilities including gift-wrapping, shipping, special orders, thank you notes, etc. in a timely and accurate manner.

Quality Control - Quality controlling, grading and testing and verification for service department for diamonds, gemstones and gold of replacement gems and customers merchandise as needed. In addition, valuations and grading for trade-in merchandise which will come from our six locations

Over the Counter Purchasing - Handle over the counter purchasing including all gold buying for the West Hartford store.

Additional Duties – Assist with other duties expected of full-time sales staff such as spot inventories, price changes, store presentation & maintenance, etc.
