Roberto Coin
The Roberto Coin jewelry company was founded in 1977 in Vicenza, Italy, the City
of Gold. It was begun as a manufacturer for other jewelry designers. By 1994,
Roberto Coin had developed a process of pinning links together to achieve a fabric-like
flexibility and movement. In 1995, the Appassionata
collection was born. To make this collection even more special, he added a hidden
ruby to each piece in the collection. By 2000, Roberto Coin became the most well-known
jeweler in Italy and was in the top seven designers in the United States.
Today, Roberto Coin designs over 600 new styles a year to cater to the women of
the Asian, Middle Eastern, European and American markets. He works tirelessly
to create new designs that have a timeless look, but also have a spirit of joy
and fun. The hidden ruby has become the signature of his work.
